| Ministry of Pets (MOP) started back in 2002 to cater to a missing gap in the market where pet owners had not much means of communicating with each other on what was being offered in the Pet Industry.
It was a simple forum where pet owners come to discuss what they need and share info on better ways in pet keeping. Shops and brand owners appeared in the forum trying to understand the market and also learn what the consumers really want instead of guessing and making the wrong purchases for their pet shops.
The current day MOP has evolved to be not only a forum but a portal where we have a market place to bring the goodies directly to the people. We have also grown in the way we view the Pet world. As we live in these modern times where social networking is a norm and information are exchange by more ways than one can imagine. Social networking has also shown us the power of viral growth in the internet world. We are made known to more of the “behind the scene” facts about animal cruelty. We have not taken any sides during the past as we wanted to stay as neutral as possible. However, it seems that as more hard truth surface, the more we feel compel to help spread these truths and put a stop to all these animal sufferings.
We are not an animal shelter, not a vet, and also not a pet business. We are here to give a “voice” to those that are not able to voice out on their own. We started a facebook campaign ”Cruel World” posted in our status daily. What we are hoping to achieve is to let more people know what is really happening and YES pet cruelty still exist in our well-educated society. It’s a very sad fact but it’s true.
We can only try our best to educate pet owners to let them know what their pet need to be a happy pet. We can only try our best to educate potential pet owners on what they are getting themselves into and make them realize that the cake might be too big for them to swallow. It’s a life time of commitment the moment you decided YES I am going to buy that cat, dog, parrots and even hamsters.
IF you cannot afford the time, money and LIFE for the pet, please do yourself a favor. DO NOT even start. When the demand drops, the supplies will do.
